Что вы знаете о валлийских группах? Я тоже не много! Если честно, знаю только одну группу. Но зато какую!

Валийская рок-группа Super Furry Animals, образовавшаяся в 1993 году в Кардиффе, одна из тех групп, о которых мало кто знает (по крайне мере, на наших просторах), но которая делает очень много для развития мировой рок музыки.

Хотя, изначально Super Furry Animals позиционировались как брит-поп группа, но постепенно они набрали обороты и начали вплетать в этот самый брит-поп элементы многочисленных жанров: поп-панка, пауэр-попа, психоделии, техно, арт-рока. Кроме того, Super Furry Animals, будучи лидерами "валлийского музыкального движения", исполняют на своем родном валлийском значительную часть своего раннего репертуара.

Первый же альбом группы "Fuzzy Logic" (1996) вошёл в итоговые "десятки" многих музыкальных журналов Британии и принёс группе общенациональную известность. Последующие альбомы группы также получали практически единодушную поддержку критики.

Сегодня слушаем потрясающую песню "Demons" из их второго альбома "Radiator" (1997). 100% радио-хит, который, увы, не услышишь у нас по радио. А жаль...

iZZZZZuminka. Все студийные альбомы группы (а их у них аж 10) входили в первую тридцатку UK Albums Chart. А пятый студийник "Rings Around the World" (2001), в работе над которым приняли участие Пол Маккартни (!) и Джон Кейл, так вообще был номинирован на Mercury Prize
